Anti-TAS2R60 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein taste 2 receptor member 60. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 318 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be expressed in subsets of taste receptor cells of the tongue and exclusively in gustducin-positive cells. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor T2R protein family, TAS2R60 is a known receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and is gustducin-linked. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include taste receptor type 2 member 56, taste receptor, type 2, member 60, and taste receptor type 2 member 60. TAS2R60 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the TAS2R60 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
