Anti-ANKRA2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat family A member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 313 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. ANKRA2 is believed to regulate the interaction between the 3M complex and the histone deacetylases HDAC4 and HDAC5. Synonyms for this target antigen include RFXANK-like protein 2, ankyrin repeat, family A (RFXANK-like), 2, and ankyrin repeat family A protein 2. ANKRA2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the ANKRA2 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
