Anti-AP3S2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adaptor related protein complex 3 subunit sigma 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 193 amino acid residues and a mass of 22 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles, Golgi, and membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Adaptor complexes small subunit protein family, AP3S2 is known to be a part of the AP-3 complex, an adaptor-related complex which is not clathrin-associated. Synonyms for this target antigen include sigma3b, AP-3 complex subunit sigma-2, AP-3 complex subunit sigma-3B, adapter-related protein complex 3 subunit sigma-2, and AP3S3. AP3S2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the AP3S2 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
