Anti-BCL2 like 14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the BCL2L14 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 327 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Bcl-2 protein family, it is reported to play a role in in apoptosis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Other names for this target antigen include BCL2-like 14 (apoptosis facilitator), apoptosis regulator BCL-G, testicular tissue protein Li 26, and apoptosis facilitator Bcl-2-like protein 14.
