Anti-MEIOC antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein meiosis specific with coiled-coil domain. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 952 amino acid residues and a mass of 107.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in fetal ovaries. MEIOC is known to be involved with spermatid development. Synonyms for this target antigen include meiosis-specific with coiled-coil domain protein, and meiosis-specific coiled-coil domain-containing protein MEIOC. MEIOC gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the MEIOC antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
