Anti-TOR4A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein torsin family 4 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 423 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the ClpA/ClpB protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include torsin-4A, torsin family protein C9orf167, and C9orf167. TOR4A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. These TOR4A antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
