Anti-RETREG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein reticulophagy regulator 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 497 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. A member of the RETREG protein family, RETREG1 is known to be involved with the regulation of apoptosis and white fat cell differentiation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include JK-1, JK1, family with sequence similarity 134 member B, protein FAM134B, reticulophagy receptor 1, and FAM134B. RETREG1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RETREG1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
