Anti-FAM193A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 193 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1265 amino acid residues and a mass of 140 kDa. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon, urinary bladder, and cerebellum. It is a member of the FAM193 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include RES4-22, protein FAM193A, and C4orf8. FAM193A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These FAM193A antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
