Anti-S100A13 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein S100 calcium binding protein A13. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 98 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and is secreted. It is reported to be expressed in the heart and skeletal muscle. A member of the S-100 protein family, S100A13 is reported to play a role in the export of proteins that lack a signal peptide and are secreted by an alternative pathway. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein S100-A13. S100A13 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some S100A13 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
