Anti-KLRD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein killer cell lectin like receptor D1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 179 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in NK cell subsets. KLRD1 is known to be an immune receptor involved in self-nonself discrimination. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The KLRD1 marker can be used to identify Effector Memory CD45RA CD8 T Cells, Natural Killer Cells, and Gamma-Delta T Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include natural killer cells antigen CD94, CD94 antigen, KP43, NK cell receptor, killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily D, member 1, and CD94.
