Anti-GNB4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein G protein subunit beta 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 340 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.6 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in lung and placenta, whereas it is weakly expressed in the brain and heart. A member of the WD repeat G protein beta protein family, it is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include G protein beta-4 subunit, guanine nucleotide binding protein (G protein), beta polypeptide 4, heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein 2B, and guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit beta-4.
