Anti-ANTKMT antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adenine nucleotide translocase lysine methyltransferase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 235 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the ANT/ATPSC lysine N-methyltransferase protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include family with sequence similarity 173 member A, protein FAM173A, protein N-lysine methyltransferase FAM173A, and adenine nucleotide translocase lysine N-methyltransferase. ANTKMT gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
