Anti-PPP1R18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 613 amino acid residues and a mass of 67.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and kidney. PPP1R18 is believed to target protein phosphatase 1 to F-actin cytoskeleton. Synonyms for this target antigen include phostensin and protein phosphatase 1 F-actin cytoskeleton targeting subunit. PPP1R18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PPP1R18 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
