Anti-GBP6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein guanylate binding protein family member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 633 amino acid residues and a mass of 72.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the GB1/RHD3 GTPase protein family, GBP6 is known to be involved with immune response pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include GTP-binding protein 6, guanine nucleotide-binding protein 6, and guanylate-binding protein 6. GBP6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some GBP6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
