Anti-CREG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cellular repressor of E1A stimulated genes 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 220 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.1 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the CREG protein family, CREG1 is believed to contribute to the transcriptional control of cell growth and differentiation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CREG and protein CREG1. CREG1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CREG1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
