Anti-ACTR8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein actin related protein 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 624 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and chromosomes. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Actin protein family, ACTR8 is known to play an important role in the functional organization of mitotic chromosomes. Synonyms for this target antigen include ARP8 actin related protein 8 homolog and INO80 complex subunit N. ACTR8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the ACTR8 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
