Anti-SLC41A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 41 member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 573 amino acid residues and a mass of 62.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the SLC41A transporter protein family, SLC41A2 is known to act as a plasma-membrane magnesium transporter. Synonyms for this target antigen include SLC41A1-like 1 and solute carrier family 41 (magnesium transporter), member 2. SLC41A2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the SLC41A2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
