Anti-PLAAT4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phospholipase A and acyltransferase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 164 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the H-rev107 protein family, PLAAT4 is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids and the regulation of cell proliferation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HRSL4, PLA1/2-3, RARRES3, RIG1, TIG3, HRAS-like suppressor 4, RAR-responsive protein TIG3, and HRASLS4. PLAAT4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species.
