Anti-NCMAP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein non-compact myelin associated protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 102 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. NCMAP is reported to play a role in myelin formation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include myelin protein of 11 kDa. NCMAP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of NCMAP antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
