Anti-Lactamase beta antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene LACTB in humans. The lactamase beta protein has an expected mass of 60.7 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as G24, MRPL56, serine beta-lactamase-like protein LACTB, mitochondrial, and mitochondrial 39S ribosomal protein L56. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
