Anti-RNASE8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribonuclease A family member 8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 154 amino acid residues and a mass of 17 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is noted to be expressed prominently in the placenta and is not detected in any other tissues examined. A member of the Pancreatic ribonuclease protein family, RNASE8 is known to have a low ribonuclease activity. Synonyms for this target antigen include RNase 8, placental, ribonuclease, RNase A family, 8, and ribonuclease 8. RNASE8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the RNASE8 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
