Anti-follistatin like 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FSTL3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 263 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and is secreted. It is reported to be expressed in a wide range of tissues. It is noted to be involved in the differentiation of certain cell types. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include FSRP, follistatin-related protein 3, follistatin-like 3 (secreted glycoprotein), follistatin-like protein 3, follistatin-related gene protein, and FLRG. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of follistatin like 3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
