Anti-FAM114A2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 114 member A2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 505 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.5 kDa. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the FAM114 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include C5orf3, protein FAM114A2, testis tissue sperm-binding protein Li 81P, and 133K02. FAM114A2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FAM114A2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
