Anti-CFAP73 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 73. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 308 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. A member of the CFAP73 protein family, CFAP73 is believed to play a role in ciliary/flagellar motility by regulating the assembly and the activity of axonemal inner dynein arm. The CFAP73 marker can be used to identify Ependymal Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain containing 42B and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 42B. CFAP73 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. These CFAP73 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
