Anti-CELA3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chymotrypsin like elastase 3A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 270 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.5 kDa. It is notably expressed in the pancreas. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, CELA3A is known to be involved with proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The CELA3A marker can be used to identify Pancreas Exocrine Glandular Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include ELA3A, chymotrypsin-like elastase family member 3A, chymotrypsin like elastase family member 3A, elastase 1, elastase 3A, pancreatic, and ELA3. CELA3A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CELA3A antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
