Anti-angiopoietin like 6 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ANGPTL6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 470 amino acid residues and a mass of 51.7 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. It is believed to play a role in the wound healing process. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include angiopoietin-like protein 6, angiopoietin-related growth factor, angiopoietin-related protein 5, and angiopoietin-related protein 6. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some angiopoietin like 6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
