Anti-OR5AN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily AN member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 311 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5AN1 is known to be an odorant receptor involved in the detection of muscone, cyclopentadecanone, cyclopentadecanol, and omega-pentadecalactone. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include muscone receptor, olfactory receptor OR11-244, and olfactory receptor 5AN1. Western Blot is a widely used application for the OR5AN1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
