Anti-SLC6A18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 6 member 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 628 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is found to be highly expressed in the kidney, but not in intestine. It is a member of the Sodium:neurotransmitter symporter (SNF) (TC 2.A.22) protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include sodium channel-like protein, sodium- and chloride-dependent transporter XTRP2, sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter B(0)AT3, and inactive sodium-dependent neutral amino acid transporter B(0)AT3. SLC6A18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some SLC6A18 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
