Anti-SLC16A5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 16 member 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 505 amino acid residues and a mass of 55 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the kidney. It is a member of the Monocarboxylate porter (TC 2.A.1.13) protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MCT6, monocarboxylate transporter 5, solute carrier family 16 (monocarboxylate transporter), member 5, and MCT5. SLC16A5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the SLC16A5 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
