Anti-ZNHIT6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein zinc finger HIT-type containing 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 470 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.9 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the BCD1 protein family, ZNHIT6 is known to be required for box C/D snoRNAs accumulation involved in snoRNA processing, snoRNA transport to the nucleolus and ribosome biogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include C1orf181, NY-BR-75, box C/D snoRNA protein 1, box C/D snoRNA essential 1 homolog, serologically defined breast cancer antigen NY-BR-75, and BCD1. ZNHIT6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the ZNHIT6 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
