Anti-Wnt family member 7A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the WNT7A gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 349 amino acid residues and a mass of 39 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is also secreted. A member of the Wnt protein family, it is known to be involved with angiogenesis and the apoptotic pathway. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include proto-oncogene Wnt7a protein, wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 7A, and protein Wnt-7a.
