Anti-STARD6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein StAR related lipid transfer domain containing 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 220 amino acid residues and a mass of 25 kDa. STARD6 is suspected to be involved in the intracellular transport of sterols or other lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include START domain containing 6, START domain-containing protein 6, StAR-related lipid transfer (START) domain containing 6, and stAR-related lipid transfer protein 6. STARD6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the STARD6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Flow Cytometry are also common applications.
