Anti-RPLP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein lateral stalk subunit P1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 114 amino acid residues and a mass of 11.5 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein P1/P2 protein family, RPLP1 is known to play an important role in the elongation step of protein synthesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include P1, RPP1, 60S acidic ribosomal protein P1, acidic ribosomal phosphoprotein P1, large ribosomal subunit protein P1, and LP1. RPLP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPLP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
