Anti-olfactomedin like 2A antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the OLFML2A gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 652 amino acid residues and a mass of 73.1 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is noted to be involved in extracellular matrix organization and signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation and N-glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include olfactomedin-like protein 2A and photomedin-1. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the olfactomedin like 2A antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
