Anti-MAGEB18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MAGE family member B18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 343 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the testis. MAGEB18 is believed to enhance ubiquitin ligase activity of RING-type zinc finger-containing E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases. Synonyms for this target antigen include MAGE-B18 antigen, melanoma antigen family B, 18, melanoma antigen family B18, and melanoma-associated antigen B18. MAGEB18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and rat species. Western Blot is the most common application for the MAGEB18 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
