Anti-DCUN1D4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein defective in cullin neddylation 1 domain containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 292 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. DCUN1D4 is said to contribute to the neddylation of all cullins by transferring NEDD8 from N-terminally acetylated NEDD8-conjugating E2s enzyme to different cullin C-terminal domain-RBX complexes which are necessary for the activation of cullin-RING E3 ubiquitin ligases (CRLs). Synonyms for this target antigen include DCN1-like protein 4, DCN1, defective in cullin neddylation 1, domain containing 4, DCUN1 domain-containing protein 4, defective in cullin neddylation protein 1-like protein 4, and DCNL4. DCUN1D4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some DCUN1D4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
