Anti-BCL2 like 15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the BCL2L15 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 163 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.7 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. The BCL2 like 15 protein is involved with the apoptotic pathway, among other functions. Other names for this target antigen include bcl-2 family kin, pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein, and bcl-2-like protein 15.
