Anti-AP1AR antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein adaptor related protein complex 1 associated regulatory protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 302 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. AP1AR is known to be involved with protein transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including palmitoylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include adapter-related protein complex 1-associated regulatory protein, gadkin, gamma-1-adaptin brefeldin A resistance protein, and AP-1 complex-associated regulatory protein. AP1AR gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some AP1AR antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
