Anti-XK related 6 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the XKR6 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 641 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the XK protein family, it is known to be involved with the apoptotic pathway. Other names for this target antigen include Transmembrane protein C8orf5, X Kell blood group precursor-related family, member 6, X-linked Kx blood group related 6, and XK-related protein 6. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the XK related 6 antibodies listed below. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
