Anti-PLPPR4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein phospholipid phosphatase related 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 763 amino acid residues and a mass of 83 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is noted to be expressed by glutamatergic neurons. A member of the PA-phosphatase related phosphoesterase protein family, PLPPR4 is known to be involved with neuronal development and GPCR signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include LPR4, PHP1, PRG-1, PRG1, phospholipid phosphatase-related protein type 4, and LPPR4. PLPPR4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PLPPR4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
