Anti-PNLDC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PARN like ribonuclease domain containing exonuclease 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 520 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the CAF1 protein family, PNLDC1 is a reported 3'-exoribonuclease that has a preference for poly(A) tails of mRNAs, thereby efficiently degrading poly(A) tails. The PNLDC1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spermatogenic failure. Synonyms for this target antigen include PARN like, ribonuclease domain containing 1, PARN-like domain-containing protein 1, poly(A)-specific ribonuclease (PARN)-like domain containing 1, and poly(A)-specific ribonuclease PNLDC1. PNLDC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PNLDC1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
