Anti-OR5M3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily M member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 307 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5M3 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 5M3 and olfactory receptor OR11-191. Some OR5M3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
