Anti-OR5B12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily B member 12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 314 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5B12 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 5B16, olfactory receptor OR11-241, olfactory receptor, family 5, subfamily B, member 12 pseudogene, olfactory receptor, family 5, subfamily B, member 16, and olfactory receptor 5B12. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR5B12 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
