Anti-calmodulin like 5 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CALML5 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 146 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.9 kDa. It is known to bind calcium. The calmodulin like 5 marker can be used to characterize Type 3 Medullary Thymic Epithelial Cells.* Other names for this target antigen include calmodulin-like protein 5, calmodulin-like skin protein, and CLSP. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Some calmodulin like 5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
