Anti-VGLL4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein vestigial like family member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 290 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Vestigial protein family, VGLL4 is believed to act as a specific coactivator for the mammalian TEFs. Synonyms for this target antigen include transcription cofactor vestigial-like protein 4, Vestigial-like 4, vestigial like 4, and VGL-4. VGLL4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of VGLL4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
