Anti-SLC16A4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 16 member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 487 amino acid residues and a mass of 54 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. The SLC16A4 protein is a member of the Monocarboxylate porter (TC 2.A.1.13) protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include MCT5, MCT 4, MCT 5, monocarboxylate transporter 4, and MCT4.
