Anti-SLC15A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 15 member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 708 amino acid residues and a mass of 78.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be expressed in small intestine. A member of the Proton-dependent oligopeptide transporter (POT/PTR) (TC 2.A.17) protein family, SLC15A1 is known to be involved with the transport of ions and protein transport. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HPEPT1, PEPT1, Caco-2 oligopeptide transporter, intestinal H+/peptide cotransporter, and HPECT1. SLC15A1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SLC15A1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
