Anti-SHC (Src homology 2 domain containing) family member 4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SHC (Src homology 2 domain containing) family member 4 is a known alias name of the protein SHC adaptor protein 4, encoded by the SHC4 gene in humans. This 630-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in melanomas.
