Anti-RHOBTB2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rho related BTB domain containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 727 amino acid residues and a mass of 82.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be widely expressed, with highest levels in neural tissues. A member of the Rho protein family, RHOBTB2 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and endocytosis. The RHOBTB2 gene has been associated with the disease, Developmental and epileptic encephalopathy. Synonyms for this target antigen include DEE64, EIEE64, p83, rho-related BTB domain-containing protein 2, deleted in breast cancer 2 gene protein, and DBC2. RHOBTB2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RHOBTB2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
