Anti-PPIL6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein peptidylprolyl isomerase like 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 311 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.2 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, soft tissue, nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. A member of the Cyclophilin-type PPIase protein family, PPIL6 is a suspected inactive PPIase with no peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase activity. Synonyms for this target antigen include cyclophilin-like protein PPIL6, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase-like 6, peptidylprolyl isomerase (cyclophilin)-like 6, and probable inactive peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase-like 6. PPIL6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PPIL6 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
